The University Certificate in Computing and Information Systems is a 33 credit program that is designed to provide a solid educational base in computing and information systems. Graduates may use the credits in their future program studies if they wish to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Computing and Information Systems.
Students of the Certificate will acquire essential computer programming skills as well as web development skills. They will comprehend the theories and technologies of computer operating systems, computer networks, system analysis and design, as well as database management. The Master of Science (specialization in Information Systems) program is based on the MSIS 2006 Model Curriculum, with the additional rigour of a technology specialization within a broader context of changing IT industry needs. In particular, our curriculum emphasizes the tie between Information Systems and other disciplines such as Computer Science and Software Engineering.
The program is designed to provide a learning experience that is both flexible and rigorous, combining foundation, core and elective courses to accommodate a diverse range of educational credentials and professional work experience. The Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Data Analytics (PBC DA) is intended to provide professional development for those already working in the IT field. It focuses on the data analytic teams as well as on the technical skills and tools required to analyze data. This program also provides opportunity to ladder directly to the Master of Science (specialization in Information Systems) program.
This certificate is intended for students who already possess an undergraduate degree, are normally working in the IT sector, and are seeking work specifically in the information security sector. Once the certificate is completed students will be qualified for positions in the following areas: Computer Security Specialist, Computer Specialist, Information Technology Specialist, Security Analyst, and System Analyst.
The Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Information Technology Management (PBC ITM) is intended to provided professional developement for those already working in the IT field. The focus on operations and organizational behaviour, along with ethical, legal and social issues, will complement an existing technical acumen to help those with managerial and consultancy roles. This program also provides opportunity to ladder directly to the Master of Science (specialization in Information Systems) program.

The main objective of this 300 level undergraduate course is to provide students with various concepts involved in game design, including the programming environment, game hardware, mathematical concepts, physical concepts, and graphics. After completing this course, students will be able to understand game development problems and issues, such as story creation, selection of programming language, mathematical analysis, physical analysis, graphics, multimedia, artificial intelligence, and others.
Green ICT (Green IT or Green Computing) is the study and practice of using computers and telecommunications in a way which maximizes positive environmental benefit and minimizes the negative impact. Green ICT seeks to inform accepted management practices to achieve efficient and effective business interaction.
