Access to the AU Library's online catalogue (AUCAT) is available through the Library's Web site (http://library.athabascau.ca). In addition to AUCAT, many information databases are available through the Library's web page. Of special note to students taking computer science classes (especially graduate students) are the ACM and IEEE Digital Libraries. To access these from the AU Library Web site, select Databases from the menu. If you haven't already logged into the library with your full name and student ID#, you will be prompted for these when you first access the specific journals.
Besides accessing the AU Library Web site, students may also contact the Athabasca University Library Information Desk in several ways: by dialing 1-800-788-9041 (ext. 6254), or by calling one of the Learning Centres and using the automated attendant to connect with ext. 6259. Students may fax a request to (780) 675-6477, or send a request by e-mail to email@example.com. Students can also request materials by mail or in-person. You will need to provide your student ID number, postal address, telephone number, and the name and number of the course in which you are registered.
Students are reminded that they may also use a local public library, or a local community college or university library that extends borrowing privileges to the public.
