Academic Schedule
The Master of Science (specialization in Information Systems) program has two intakes per year. The MSc IS office must receive all application materials by March 1 for admission to the program for Fall semester, and by October 1 for consideration to the program for the Winter semester.
Winter 2012
| January 9 | First day of Winter Session courses. |
| February 9 | Last day for early withdrawals from Winter Session courses. No record of the course will appear on the transcript. Partial refund. |
| February 15 | Online course registration for Spring Session opens. |
| February 20 | Family Day, University closed. |
| March 1 | Deadline for receipt of all application documents for admission to the program for Fall 2012 Session. |
| March 8 | Last day for late withdrawals from Winter Session courses. Transcripts will reflect a withdrawal in good standing. No Refund. |
| March 10 | Online course registration for Spring Session closes. |
| March 15 | Fall 2012 admissions decisions are made and student notifications are sent. Online admissions open. |
| March 31 | Deadline for admissions and fees for Fall 2012. |
| April 6-9 (inclusive) | Easter Break, University closed. |
| April 8th | Last day of Winter Session courses. |
Spring 2012
| April 30 | First day of Spring Session courses. |
| May 21 | Victoria Day, University closed. |
| May 30 | Last day for early withdrawals from Spring Session courses. No record of course will appear on transcript. Partial Refund. |
| June 7-9 | Athabasca University Convocation |
| June 15 | Online course registration for Fall Session opens. |
| June 29 | Last day for late withdrawals from Spring Session courses. Transcripts will reflect a withdrawal in good standing. No Refund. |
| July 2 | University closed |
| July 10 | Online course registration for Fall Session closes. |
| July 29 | Last day of Spring Session courses. |
| August 6 | Civic Holiday. University closed. |
